A design proposal for a three bedroom town house within the city walls of York.

The proposal gave the house a central focus, with niche zones allowing work and home leisure to be interlinked within the house.

Spaces becoming kinetic and flexible with the kitchen and dining room acting as the social hub for theatrical entertaining.

An adaptive kinetic space which can move around as important changes occur through an owner’s life. The building could adapt to the needs of being young and single, through living in partnership with children and to later life being with grand-children.

The proposals also considered short and long-term future living forecasts of how social and economic trends would alter family units and impact the design.

This traditionally designed building is located within the conservation area of Yarm. The seven apartments were specifically designed to a high specification to meet the demand from young professionals seeking to locate to this desirable location 10 miles outside Middlesbrough.

The properties benefited from a secluded landscaped courtyard with off-street parking, located within a stones throw from Yarm’s diverse and cosmopolitan restaurants, bars shops and entertainment facilities.

A feasibility design for elderly housing accommodation. Our solution was to design desirable, affordable accommodation built to universal design principles.

These ‘intelligent’ apartments were designed to meet the needs of a fully able person but could be cost effectively adapted to the owners’ requirements if their need for health care increased and mobility decreased.

This classically designed building is located 30 minutes from the centre of London and comprises seven spacious two bedroom apartments with an exacting attention to detail.

Situated in the village of Briestfield, near Dewsbury, in a conservation area and green belt zone, this private dwelling was totally destroyed in a gas explosion in August 2002.

The house was redesigned based on the original plans and photographs, remodelled to suit the clients needs, current building legislation and modern living and rebuilt using salvaged and appropriate materials. Our full design service included architecture, detailed drawing package, project management, as well as interior design, decoration and styling.
